Direct Mail Acknowledgement
(You must check “accept terms” below before placing your order)
Direct mail is a cost-effective way to reach local and surrounding communities with information about your church. Please read the following
information and terms carefully so that you purchase the mailing list that is best for you!
·
What is the quality of your mailing lists?
o
MissionInsite mailing data is provided by LeadsPlease. LeadsPlease mailing leads
data is provided by Experian, the respected global information services company.
LeadsPlease hosts the Experian-provided data on their own database servers using proprietary systems to enable you to quickly and accurately find the
potential households you are looking for. For additional information about the quality of the mailing lists refer to the LeadsPlease data quality page.

·
Will I receive data for EVERY household in my area?
o
No
, the
Experian database only contains information for about 85% of the households in
the United States.
o
Each household address is assigned a "reliability score" of 1-10 based on the availability of verifiable data (with 1-2 being the highest scores).
Only addresses with a “reliability score” of 1 or 2 are included in the LeadsPlease data lists. This effectively reduces the
number or household records in a list by and additional 5% to 10% but will improve list reliability.
·
What should I expect in terms of the “deliverability”
of mailing lists?
o
Deliverability means how many of your
mailed postcards and letters will ultimately be delivered correctly by the USPS
(United States Postal Service)
o
Consumer / New
Mover Lists – 95+% Deliverability Guarantee
o
Business Mailing
Lists – 92+% Deliverability Guarantee
o
You can expect
these high deliverability rates when you mail your campaign within 30 days
of purchasing your list and address your mail correctly.
o
If you have any
questions about how to address your mail correctly, we suggest visiting the USPS Addressing Tips & Tools section of the USPS website.
o LeadsPlease will refund the cost of the undeliverable leads if less than 95% of your mailings are delivered when mailing to your list within 30 days of purchase and when properly addressed. Please hold onto any returned mail pieces as LeadsPlease may ask you to send them to us, at our expense.
·
Why won’t 100%
of my mail get delivered? Why should I expect some returned mail pieces?
o Although LeadsPlease and Experian perform extensive tests to ensure the highest quality data possible, there will always be a small number of undeliverable mail pieces/returned mail for various reasons that are out of our control:
§ Millions of consumers and businesses move
every month, and if they don’t provide a forwarding address to the USPS, their
mail cannot not be forwarded and will get returned to the sender.
§ Postal service inaccuracies.
§ If a house is vacant, the postman is not
allowed to deliver the mail and the mail will be returned to the sender.
·
What can I do to increase the
deliverability of my mail?
o You can increase deliverability by adding the words ‘Or Current Resident’ to a consumer mailing address and ‘Or Current Occupant’ to a business mailing address. If a person or business has moved location, your mail will get delivered to the current resident/occupant.
o
IMPORTANT: Any undeliverable mail will be
returned with POSTAGE DUE at the current first class postal rates. You
are responsible to pay postage for any returned mail.
·
What is a “New Mover”?
o
The New Mover database contains people who have
moved recently- these people might be renting their new accommodation or have
purchased it.
